Education for a hopeful, sustainable future
Ridge and Valley Charter School is a tuition-free public school of choice open to any New Jersey child from kindergarten to 8th grade, with a mission of ecological literacy and sustainability. Class groups average 15-17 students. Students pursue integrated learning activities, frequently outdoors on the 16-acre campus that includes a sports field, meadows, wetlands, greenhouse, outdoor vegetable gardens and solar panels.
Ridge and Valley Charter School is guided by Core Content Standards and operates under the authority and supervision of the New Jersey Department of Education. The educational program integrates traditional academic subjects into a range of project-based learning experiences – often geared to a student’s specific interests.
