How do I enroll my child at Ridge and Valley Charter School?

Enrollment is open, on a space available basis, to all K-8 students residing in N.J. with priority given to students residing in the districts of Blairstown, Hardwick, Knowlton, Frelinghuysen, and North Warren Regional School.

Ridge and Valley Charter School opened in September 2004, and has approximately 105 learners, grades K-8. The school maintains a 1:15 teacher-student ratio and utilizes flexible multi-age groupings. We are located on a 16-acre parcel of land at 1234 Route 94, Blairstown, NJ.

Do you offer busing?
Students residing in the districts of Blairstown, Hardwick, Knowlton, Frelinghuysen, and North Warren Regional School have busing available.
What are the school hours?
Student arrival is at 8:45AM and classes begin at 9:00AM. Dismissal is at 3PM Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Wednesdays, RVCS has a 1:00PM dismissal for students which allows for Guide meetings and professional development.
Do you offer before care and after care?
RVCS students from any sending district are eligible to participate in the Before and After School Programs provided by the Sussex County YMCA at Blairstown Elementary School (BES). Busing between RVCS and BES is available on the existing school bus route. Note: On Wednesdays, the BES programs start 2 hours AFTER the 1:00 pm RVCS dismissal. Can I take a tour of Ridge and Valley?

RVCS has several open houses during the year. Open houses are typically during the school year, 8:30 – 10:30. Our open houses give you a chance to attend a whole school assembly and visit classrooms, followed by an informational presentation about RVCS. Students who are enrolling at RVCS can schedule a visit.
