Curriculum

Ridge and Valley Charter School incorporates an integrated, emergent course of study designed to complement children’s developmental stages and support their ongoing exploration of themselves and their human and non-human communities. Guides and students collaborate in movement through a series of multi-disciplinary Key Learning Experiences organized through developmentally-appropriate curriculum lenses. Specific attention to Language Arts and Math enhance the fundamental skills of communication, investigation and critical thinking, while Independent Study encourages students to pursue their interests and passions as they learn to take responsibility for their choices and share their achievements.
